President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held talks with a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Communist Party Secretary of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China Ma Xingrui, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported.
The interlocutors discussed a wide range of aspects of China-Tajikistan cooperation within comprehensive strategic partnerships. Emomali Rahmon said Tajikistan-China relations show the positive dynamics of development in trade, economy, investment, agriculture and many other sectors. The President of Tajikistan focused on the positive dynamics of cooperation in education and tourism.
The parties in the talks expressed mutual interest in promoting and expanding interaction between the two countries in developing the digital and green economy, including power generation, road construction and road repair.
«In this regard, the parties highlighted the important role of reconstruction of the Kulma-Karasu checkpoint in facilitating the movement of goods and products between the two countries,» the press office reports on the talks.
