Almaty to receive cargo flights from China to Europe

Airbus A330 aircrafts will be used.

The Chinese airline Sichuan Airlines announced the launch of cargo flights between China and Europe with a technical stop in Kazakhstan. Aircrafts will land at the Almaty airport, Sputnik reports.

It is planned that Airbus 330 aircrafts will perform flights on the route Chengdu-Almaty-Budapest in the autumn and winter of 2023-2024. Cargo flights will be operated 5 times a week: on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

The Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan noted that the launch of cargo flights across the Republic will help boost its transit potential.

Sichuan Airlines was founded in 1986 and is based in Chengdu, China. The company uses Airbus aircrafts of various models to operate flights on more than 160 routes to 25 countries.
