Kyrgyzstan and Saint Lucia set to establish cooperation in tourism

The foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Saint Lucia emphasised their intention to promote friendly relations and establish bilateral interaction, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported the details to CentralAsia.news.

«The parties considered establishing cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Saint Lucia at the bilateral level and within the international organisations, in particular the United Nations. Particular attention was paid to the tourism sector,» the message says.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, over the past 3 years the Republic has established diplomatic relations with 8 countries. These include Malawi, Rwanda, the Kingdom of Tonga and Saint Lucia.

As was reported, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Minister of External Affairs, International Trade and Civil Aviation of Saint Lucia Alva Romanus Baptiste on September 20, 2023. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
