Chairman of the «Turkmengas» state concern Maksat Babayev took part in the Turkmen-German business forum in Berlin on September 29. He invited foreign companies to take part in the development of the Galkynysh gas field and the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline. This was reported by the ORIENT news agency.
Maksat Babayev noted that the state concern welcomes cooperation through direct investments, construction contracts, and equipment supplies. According to him, the potential amount of the hydrocarbon resources of the republic is 71.2 billion tons of oil — 53 billion tons are located on land and 18.2 billion tons are in the sea.
The country is negotiating with companies from China and the UAE on the 2nd and 3rd phases of the development of the Galkynysh field. Petronas Carigali, Dragon Oil and Buried Hill take part in 4 projects in the Caspian Sea. Eni, Mitro International and CNPC implement 3 onshore projects.
The republic buys chemical products from BASF SE, spare parts and equipment from Abel GmbH, Sulzer Pumps and RMA. Siemens Energy repairs power turbines in Turkmenistan.
Maksat Babayev invited foreign partners to take part in the international conference «Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan — 2023». The event will take place in Ashgabat on October 25-27.
