Sadyr Japarov raises “green” project issues at Central Asia-Germany Summit

He invited investors to consider building renewable energy facilities in Kyrgyzstan.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov took part in the first Central Asia-Germany Summit in Germany. In his speech, he highlighted the important role of this event as a new format in expanding cooperation and turning it into strategic regional partnerships, the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports the details of Japarov’s speech at the Summit.

The President of Kyrgyzstan focused on the destruction of traditional supply chains and expressed hope that trade and economic relations would be diversified with the support of the European Union.

Japarov said economic cooperation, industry and infrastructure cannot develop without energy resources. Emphasising that the Central Asian region has rich hydropower potential, he called on investors and international partners to explore opportunities for the construction of renewable energy facilities and the implementation of other green projects in the region.
