Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov paid a working visit to Qatar, where he held talks with the high-ranking officials and the top managers of business companies. During a meeting with Minister of Commerce and Industry Mohammed Al Thani and the top managers of the major companies, including Hassad Food, Nebras Power, FITCO Detergent Factory, Alazizya Chemicals Factory, Qatar National Cement Company and Power International Holding, the parties agreed on mutual support to businesses of the two countries, the press office of the Government of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
Kudratov and Al Thani discussed the ongoing joint projects and assessed the progress of the implementation. They also considered expanding trade and investment partnerships. The Ministers said they were ready to provide mutual support to the business communities of Uzbekistan and Qatar.
The talks resulted in signing several agreements on the implementation of joint projects in the agricultural, energy, infrastructure, chemical and construction industries. Minister Kudratov made presentations of the opportunities for investment and industrial potential of Uzbekistan to his interlocutors.
