In his speech, a parliamentarian of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Kunduzbek Sulaimanov shared information about migration processes in the Republic. He noted that every fourth family in the country has at least one migrant worker: migration affects more than 3 million people. Most migrants are aged between 18 and 45.

Female migrants are increasingly part of flows of migrant workers. Female migrants make up between 43 and 48 percent of the total number of migrants. According to the National Statistical Committee of the Republic, since 2014, women have been increasingly involved in external and internal migration. Now, the number of female migrants in Kyrgyzstan is twice as large as men.

Kunduzbek Sulaymanov noted that migration will remain a significant economic and social factor. Therefore, the state must develop a competent policy aimed at providing decent work and ensuring social security to its citizens abroad.
