A solemn award ceremony of the winners of the regional round of the All-Republic Contest «The Wisdom of the Shining Dawn — a Book» took place in Sughd Region. This year, the competition has brought together 112 participants, Khovar.tj reports.
Head of Sughd Region Rajabboy Ahmadzoda attended the award ceremony. He congratulated the winners of the regional round and presented diplomas and cash prizes to each of them.
Those speaking at the award ceremony noted that the popularity of the Wisdom of the Shining Dawn — a Book Contest is growing in the country. Schoolchildren, students, teachers, scientists and representatives of various professions participate in the competition. An increased number of participants testifies to its significance. Last year, 91 participants from Sughd Region took part in the competition, of which 28 received prizes.
The contest took place from March to May and comprised two rounds. Participants represented institutions of secondary and higher vocational and general education, as well as cities and districts. They totalled 67,473 schoolchildren, students, teachers and representatives of various professions.
