President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev completed his working visit to Tajikistan, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported the details of the meetings and talks.
Mirziyoyev met with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and took part in the Fifth Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia, at which he put forward the proposal to create a free trade zone. The President noted that trade and economic cooperation among the countries of the region is a key factor contributing to their partnerships and integration.
Speaking at the Fifth Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia, Mirziyoyev noted that Uzbekistan is creating the necessary framework to boost practical interaction in this area with all states of the region.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended a meeting of the Council of Heads of Founding States of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea. After the meetings concluded, the President of Uzbekistan returned to Tashkent.
