On September 2, the 12th Football Cup of the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in Germany, organised by the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan and the Kyrgyz diaspora, took place in Berlin, the TG channel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The competitions marked the 32nd anniversary of independence of Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz teams from different cities of Germany, as well as from Hungary, Lithuania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland, in total 18 teams, played in the matches.
Ambassador Omurbek Tekebaev opened the tournament with a welcoming speech, in which he noted the importance of the event for the unity and patriotism of the Kyrgyz diaspora in Germany and Europe.
Along with football, the competitions in table tennis and volleyball were held. The guests and their children took part in traditional games, contests and quizzes. National dishes and drinks were presented.
The winners and participants of the tournament received cups and certificates in the final of the event. Ak Emgek from Hungary won the football tournament and received the 2023 Football Cup of the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in Germany.
