On August 28, a foresight session for young foreign leaders on the theme «My City of the Future — a City of Sustainable Development» started in Nizhny Novgorod. This event is held within the New Generation programme and has brought together participants from different countries, including Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, among others, the press office of Rossotrudnichestvo reported.
On August 29, the delegation visited Gorodets, where they learned about folk traditions and crafts: Gorodets painting, wood carving and perforated metal manufacture.
The participants of the session gained valuable knowledge on how to create new public spaces and stage major events in youth tourism. They learned about the plans to set up the Museum Quarter, including tourist navigation, the improvement of the embankment to receive passengers, the creation of a park of «lost temples» and the installation of a «zero kilometre», from where every tourist can start travelling in any direction.
