On August 21, Ashgabat hosted the forum «Turkmenistan-UNESCO: the role of Turkmen youth in strengthening strategic cooperation with the Global Youth Community». The event was held in honor of the accession of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan to the international platform. This was reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan: Today».
An exhibition of books by the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, collections of poems by the famous Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi and objects of arts and crafts took place within the forum.
The participants of the event noted that the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan actively develops international cooperation within the exchange of experience, provides social support, and stimulates entrepreneurial and creative activities of youth. With the assistance of the state, young men and women enter prestigious foreign universities and take part in international forums and sports competitions.
UNESCO departments and chairs have been established in the universities of Turkmenistan, 6 educational institutions are included in the system of UNESCO Associated Schools Network.
