President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev commented on the report of Minister of Defence Ruslan Zhaksylykov on the work done in the armed forces for the first half of 2023, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
The Minister presented a new format of combat training, which envisages changing cyclicality and models that help improve the management skills of commanders. The President was informed of the measures to be taken to enhance territorial defence, including legislative and practical measures.
Ruslan Zhaksylykov reported on the progress of data digitalization at the military registration and enlistment offices. Currently, their databases are being merged with the databases of other departments.
He also reported on the measures taken to provide credit holidays to conscripts and preferential education. Loan deferment was granted to more than 2,500 conscripts, and 1,500 demobbed conscripts received an opportunity to enter higher educational institutions.
Tokayev gave specific instructions to the Minister of Defence on the improvement of combat readiness of the armed forces of Kazakhstan.
