On July 2, a solemn meeting was held at the Russian military base in Tajikistan to mark the Combat Veterans Day, CentralAsia.news reported referring the press office of the Central Military District of Russia.
The military servants, who had the outstanding accomplishments in their service, received state awards, and the personnel members were promoted in rank. Following the award ceremony, Commander of the military unit Colonel Andrey Marushkin congratulated those present on this significant day, wished them good health and family well-being and called on them to improve their professional skills in a difficult time for the country.
Military Base 201 in Tajikistan is Russia’s largest military facility abroad. It is located in Dushanbe and Bokhtar. The military base contains the motorized rifle, tank, artillery, reconnaissance, air defence, CBR defence and communications units.
