The animated film Besik Zhyry, produced by the Dala Animation creative team with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan, won the Best Animated Film Prize at the Roshani International Film Festival 2023 in India, the press office of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.
About 1,300 films, including 132 animated films, competed in the festival. Besik Zhyry that received the maximum score from the jury was announced the Best Short Animated Film at the Festival.
This is not the first award of Besik Zhyry: in May 2023, it was announced the Best Short Animated Film at the Madrid Film Festival, at which 1,500 animated films were presented.
Besik Zhyry was produced with the support of the State Centre for the Support of National Cinema under the Ministry of Culture and Sports in 2021.
