President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Astana for a working visit at the invitation of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, where he will take part in the international high-level meetings on October 12-14, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reports.
The capital of Kazakhstan will host the Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia and the meeting of the Council of Heads of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia that is scheduled to take place on October 13 will focus on building up multi-vector cooperation among Asian countries. On October 14, the leaders of the CIS Member States will meet to discuss opportunities for intensifying cooperation in such areas as trade and economy, industrial cooperation, creation of transport corridors, food security and climate change mitigation.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold a series of meetings with the leaders and delegations of the participating countries in Astana.
