Vladimir Norov and Ambassador of Argentina discuss aspects of cooperation

The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Ambassador of Argentina exchanged views on Uzbekistan-Argentina cooperation in a number of fields.

On June 23, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received the letters of credence from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic (with residence in Moscow) Eduardo Antonio Zuain, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and legal spheres.

The Ambassador of Argentina noted that the ongoing economic, social and political reforms in Uzbekistan as part of the implementation of the New Uzbekistan strategy arouse great interest in his country. In this regard, Argentina expresses its readiness to build up multifaceted cooperation with Uzbekistan.

The interlocutors highlighted the need to fully use the trade potential of the two countries by attracting Argentinean investors to implement projects in Uzbekistan, increase trade and adopt bilateral trade facilitation agreements.

Touching upon cultural and humanitarian interaction, the interlocutors discussed the prospects for joint participation in international cultural events, including film festivals, cooperation between universities of Uzbekistan and Argentina and partnerships in sports and tourism.
