Head of Turkmenistan receives credentials from ambassador of Kazakhstan

Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Askar Tajibayev discussed the future of interstate cooperation.

On May 4, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the new Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ashgabat Askar Tajibayev. The leader of the country received credentials from the diplomat. The parties discussed the future of interstate cooperation, as reported by «Turkmenistan today».

The ambassador conveyed a greeting from the head of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the president. He noted that the leader of the republic is ready to intensify constructive partnership with Turkmenistan. Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in turn, stressed that relations between the states are developing successfully.

During the exchange of views on the prospects for further cooperation between Ashgabat and Nur-Sultan, the interlocutors discussed the implementation of the agreements that were reached during Tokayev’s visit to Turkmenistan in 2021.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Askar Tajibayev also agreed that in the future it is important to implement new Turkmen-Kazakh projects.

Earlier Tajibayev served as head of the diplomatic mission in Tajikistan. He has the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the 2nd class.
