On April 4, a festive concert dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation was held at the House of Friendship of the Peoples of Tatarstan. The solemn event was opened by the Turkmen consul Atadurdy Bayramov. It was reported by the online media «Tatar-inform».
Students from the Central Asian country, as well as local pop singers, took part in the event. Bayramov noted that Tatarstan is one of the leaders in the framework of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia at the regional level.
He recalled that part of the relevant partnership is focused on projects with public joint-stock companies KAMAZ, Tatneft and Kazan Helicopter Plant. More than 3,000 students from Turkmenistan study at the higher educational institutions of Tatarstan, underlined the consul.
As part of the celebration, an exhibition of national musical instruments and books dedicated to Turkmen traditions was held.
The diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation were established on April 8, 1992.
