Employees with new views to upgrade justice sector institutions of Kazakhstan

The President was informed that the “staffing spring” aims to ensure transparency and impartiality of justice sector institutions.

On March 9, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a working meeting with Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan Denis Shipp, who reported on the work done by justice sector institutions in 2021, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.

Shipp reported that last year the key vector was to improve the judicial selection and appointment procedures and build up new effective personnel reserves. Currently, the modernised judicial sector is being constructed that will be based on the firm principles of transparency and impartiality, the Chairman of the Council emphasised.

Denis Shipp noted that personnel adaptation, training and assessment methods have been introduced; before candidates are appointed to judicial positions, in-depth analysis of their professional and personal qualities is conducted and public opinion is studied thoroughly. According to these evaluation criteria, 103 judges were appointed last year, the visitor of Akorda added.

Speaking about the prospects, Shipp said this work will continue and the judicial sector will be upgraded as much as possible with honest, experienced and highly qualified specialists.
