President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a telegram of congratulations to his counterpart from Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier on his election to a second term as President of Germany. The leader of Tajikistan noted that relations between the countries have gained new constructive facets, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported on February 14.
Noting that interstate cooperation is developing effectively, Rahmon added that Tajikistan and Germany were interacting in various areas of mutual interest.
The leader of Tajikistan expressed the hope that bilateral relations will be deepened and reach a qualitatively new level in the future. Dushanbe will make every effort to achieve positive results in this area, Rahmon said.
Rahmon wished long life to the German politician and peace and prosperity to the people of the country.
President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier was re-elected for a second term. He has been President of Germany since March 19, 2017, when he succeeded Joachim Gauck.
