Tajikistan resumes all flights to Russia

About 120 flights between the two countries are performed each week.

The Republic of Tajikistan has resumed full flights the Russian Federation. Chairman of the Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Tajikistan Ikrom Subkhonzoda made this statement at a press conference, the Khovar State News Agency reported on February 11.

He said a total of 120 flights between the states are currently performed each week. The decision to resume full flights was taken after the epidemiological situation in Tajikistan had improved.

Subkhonzoda informed that two more regular flights to Ukraine and Lithuania will be performed this year. He also noted that in January-December last year, Somon Air carried a total of 380,000 passengers on internaiotnal flights. This number exceeds that in 2020 by 120,000 passengers, or 46%. In 2020, the Dushanbe International Airport provided services to more than 1.5 million passengers.

As was reported, Tajikistan and Russia began to resume direct flights from April 2021.
