Parliamentarians discuss gas supply to settlements of Kyrgyzstan

Parliamentarians discussed social and economic problems in the country.

On February 10, a parliamentarian of the Kyrgyz Republic Baktybek Choibekov raised an issue regarding natural gas supply to remote regions of the country during a parliamentary session. He noted that gas was supplied only to the residential areas of the city, but no work had been conducted in the regions, the press office of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan reports.

According to the parliamentarian, Kyrgyzstan signed the natural gas supply agreement with the Russian Federation in 2013.

He also reminded that a general gasification scheme for the period till 2030 had been developed.

A parliamentarian Balbak Tulebaev asked a question about the residential buildings located along the road on the Balbai-Korumdu section.

He also talked about the lack of drinking water in the villages of Jeti-Oguz Region and asked to conduct social facilities inventory.

He highlighted the need to complete construction work on all educational facilities, noting that construction work on new schools and kindergartens should not start before the previous construction projects were implemented.
