Tajikistan interested in importing Chinese technology

President Emomali Rahmon made this statement during a meeting with President Xi Jinping.

On February 5, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held talks with his counterpart from the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping. The interlocutors discussed further aspects of bilateral cooperation. The emphasis was placed on Dushanbe’s interest in Chinese technologies, the press office of the leader of Tajikistan reported.

Rahmon stressed that Tajikistan intended to import technologies that would help it lay the groundwork for green technology, in particular electric cars, solar panels, focusing on the prospects for the construction of energy facilities in the Republic.

The leaders of the two states agreed that talks between investment attraction groups play an important role in strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The President of Tajikistan expressed gratitude to his counterparts for the supply of COVID-19 vaccines. He invited Xi Jinping to pay an official visit to Dushanbe at any convenient time. The Chinese leader accepted the invitation.

As was reported, Rahmon visited China to attend the XXIV Winter Olympic Opening Ceremony.
