Administration of Rahmon reveals details of message from Japanese Prime Minister

Fumio Kishida expressed the hope for the further development of Tajikistan-Japan relations.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida exchanged telegrams of congratulations on the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The interlocutors expressed the hope for the further development of bilateral relations, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported on February 2.

Kishida noted that Japan interacts continuously with Tajikistan, including by exchanging visits. He reminded that then Prime Minister Abe visited Dushanbe in 2015 and Rahmon paid 4 visits to Tokyo.

The Prime Minister of Japan noted that the countries are successfully cooperating in the economic sector, professional training and ensuring regional stability, as well as through the border authorities.

Particular attention was paid to the importance of the Central Asia plus Japan Dialogue/Foreign Ministers Meeting, which would be held this year.

In his telegram of congratulations, Rahmon noted that Dushanbe-Beijing relations would continue to develop and expand.
