Construction of Embassy of Tajikistan starts in Tashkent

The initiative put forward by Rahmon plays an important role in enhancing friendship and promoting bilateral cooperation.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin took part in the ground-breaking ceremony of a new building of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Uzbekistan during his working visit to Tashkent, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported.

The building complex will be built on an area of 1.4 hectares in accordance with the intergovernmental agreement on the mutual allocation of construction sites for the embassy buildings. The new building of the Embassy of Tajikistan will be located in the Sebzar massif in Tashkent.

The building complex comprises the residence of the head of diplomatic mission, consulate building, accommodation facilities for staff, sports ground, car park and banquet and conference halls.

The construction of the Embassy building, the residential building for diplomats and other facilities is funded from the budget of Tajikistan.

It was noted that the initiative, put forward by President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, would contribute to enhancing friendship between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and promoting bilateral cooperation in all sectors.
