Since the beginning of the year, 179 large-scale projects and 10,000 regional programmes have been launched, in which about 76 trillion soums have been invested, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reports.
It is noted that 442 projects launched in recent years were not working at full capacity. The study found that 238 of them were experiencing shortages of raw materials and had no access to markets, 115 programmes were having problems with lending and 35 projects were having problems with infrastructure.
The industrial programmes focus on developing modern, competitive and in-demand products. Therefore, modern foreign technologies have been purchased for them.
It was noted that more than 270 lines, delivered in 2021, were not equipped so far.
Mirziyoyev instructed the responsible officials that the new framework for the implementation of investment projects be put into action in a short time and effectively. It is emphasised that the Uzbek ambassadors in foreign countries should contribute to increasing foreign investments and exports.
