Four newly appointed ambassadors start their mission in Kazakhstan

Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev wished the diplomats every success in their mission and conveyed the warm greetings to the leaders of their countries.

On June 11, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received the newly appointed ambassadors from four countries at the Akorda Residence. The leader of Kazakhstan congratulated the envoys of foreign countries on the official start of mission that coincided with the upcoming national holiday, the 30th anniversary of independence, the press office of Akorda reported.

Ambassador of Japan Jun Yamada, Ambassador of India Shubhdarshini Tripathi, Ambassador of Cambodia Meas Kim Heng and Ambassador of Sri Lanka Meegahalande Durage Lamawansa presented their credentials to President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.

The President of Kazakhstan noted that over the past thirty years, Kazakhstan had been committed to a balanced foreign policy, based on diversification in relations and strict adherence of international law. The Republic geopolitically linked East and West, and this was a responsible task arising from its vital and strategic role in regard to Eurasian matters, the President emphasised.

The leaders of Kazakhstan informed the foreign diplomats on the foreign policy priorities of Kazakhstan, the economic and investment opportunities, the efforts towards ensuring security and stability in the region and the approaches to responding combating the pandemic and climate change.
