Large international trade centre under construction in Termez district

According to experts, the new trade centre will have an annual turnover of US$ 500 million.

On June 1, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the master plan of the international trade centre under construction in Termez during his working visit to Syrdarya Region. According to experts, the new trade centre will have an annual turnover of US$ 500 million, the press office of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.

The total cost of the project is US$ 75 million. The construction site occupies a 26-hectare area. The trade centre will house the terminals for receiving, storing, processing, sorting, packing and selling goods.

1,800 retail outlets, a logistics centre for 50,000 customers, 2 hotels, hospitals and car service centres will be located on the territory of the international trade centre in Termez. Sales outlets will occupy the ground floor, and light industry establishments –the first floor. 

Mirziyoyev instructed that the trade centre be built from lightweight structures, businessmen be engaged to serve the trade centre and export and favourable conditions be created for foreign business circles. The trade centre will start working in 2022.
