Kyrgyzstan grants duty free access to anti-coronavirus products

Due to the pandemic, imports for anti-COVID-19 purposes obtained import tax exemptions on the territory of the EAEU.

On April 23, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission circulated a press release informing about the decision to extend the period of the duty-free importation of a number of products for anti-COVID-19 purposes to the countries of the EAEU till June 30, 2022, the press office of the EAEU reports.

The amendments were introduced to the technical regulation “On the safety of equipment operating under excessive pressure”. In particular, the conceptual apparatus of the technical regulation was adjusted, the scope of distribution was specified and the technical corrections to the practice of application were made.

The members of the EEC Council discussed the main guidelines of the macroeconomic policy of the Member states of the Eurasian Economic Union for 2021-2022, the aspects of the implementation of pilot e-commerce projects in the Member states of the EAEU and the draft Agreement on the use of navigation seals to track shipments across the EAEU.

The transition period to GMP in the EAEU was extended – the national GMP certificates can be submitted by the end of 2024.
