Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to develop jointly transport linkages

President Mirziyoyev and President of Kazakhstan Tokayev discussed the prospects for developing cross-border logistical infrastructure.

On March 15, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the leader of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev. The parties discussed the prospects for developing jointly transport routes and cross-border logistical infrastructure, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan informed CentralAsia.news.

The key approaches to improving bilateral multifaceted cooperation and enhancing friendly relations, good neighbourliness and strategic interstate interaction were discussed.

The leaders of the two states focused on boosting mutually beneficial partnerships in the economic sector to address the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic as soon as possible. They discussed the progress in implementing joint actions towards increasing bilateral trade and promoting industrial cooperation projects under the roadmap.

The leaders highlighted the importance of promoting exchanges between the governments, ministries and enterprises in the field of health care, pharmaceutics and public education.

In conclusion, the leaders of the two states exchanged cordial congratulations on the upcoming spring Novruz celebrations and hearty wishes of peace, well-being and prosperity to the fraternal peoples.
