The new customs system will facilitate the work of business structures and increase foreign trade.

It was highlighted that the new electronic platform will allow creating a centralized customs data system “ASYCUDA”. It will contain all the necessary information about vehicles that arrive, leave or transit through the territory of Turkmenistan.
The parties also discussed the introduction of electronic documents that will allow registering vehicles and transit cargo. According to the officials, this process will provide an opportunity to more effectively control the movement of relevant transport. Moreover, civil servants marked the importance of this innovation in the frame of the operational processing of electronic permits at border crossings.
Representatives of the International Road Transport Union also touched upon the issue of synchronizing legislation and charges, as well as other procedures that will facilitate the activities of business structures and have a positive impact on the growth of cargo traffic and the export volume of Turkmenistan.
