Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Minister in charge of fuel and energy sector Batyr Amanov reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the measures taken to modernise the petrochemical industry at the government meeting, the Turkmenistan: Today National News Agency reports.
He said the Turkmenneft State Concern is working towards reconstructing the deep oil refining units at the Seyidi oil refinery. The modernisation of these units is to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the Seyidi oil refinery through using modern technologies.
Commenting on the report of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the President emphasised that the use of the oil and gas enterprises to their full design capacity is a key modern requirement.
As is known, Turkmenistan has the fourth-largest natural gas reserves in the world. Its advantageous geopolitical position and rich hydrocarbon deposits give the country enormous opportunities to boost gas exports to various destinations.
