On November 24, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov heard a report from Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nurmuhammet Amannepesov on preparatory work for an international health conference of the Non-Aligned Movement during an online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. The event will be held in Ashgabat on December 8-9 this year, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.
Amannepesov reported that large-scale work is being done in the country to develop the national healthcare system and boost cooperation with foreign countries and authoritative international and regional organisations.
The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that over 60 delegates from 30 countries will take part in the upcoming forum. They will include medical practitioners, scientists, experts and representatives of the medical community.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed belief that the conference will be important in identifying specific ways to promote international health cooperation. In this regard, the President instructed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure the high level of the upcoming event.
