Minister of Culture and Tourism of China Hu Heping arrived in Uzbekistan. The visit of the Chinese delegation is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations in the tourism sector and holding a series of meetings with the heads of ministries and departments of Uzbekistan marking the 10th anniversary of the One Belt, One Road initiative, the press office of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan reports.
The aim is to increase the number of Chinese tourists to one million per year in the coming years. Hu Heping will attend a gala concert as part of the Days of Chinese Culture and travelled to the tourist attractions in Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara Regions during his visit.
A trilateral meeting involving Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization Zurab Pololikashvili and Minister of Ecology Aziz Abdukhakimov is scheduled to take place. An exhibition of Uzbekistan-China cultural exchange «Masterpieces of Nature of Uzbekistan and China» is arranged at the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan as part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the One Belt, One Road Initiative.
