The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) organised a media tour to Uzbekistan. Journalists from 24 foreign media agencies took part in the tour. They visited the historical regions of Uzbekistan, the press office of the Committee on Tourism and the embassies of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
This initiative was supported by the OIC Members and aimed to contribute to a deeper acquaintance of media representatives with the cultural heritage of the Republic and present these achievements to the world community.
The participants of the media tour travelled through several historical regions of Uzbekistan, including Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand and Tashkent.
In the future, the authorities of Uzbekistan plan to organise more cultural events for foreign and domestic journalists to draw attention to all the regions of the country.
