The XXVIII International Conference and Exhibition «Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2023» will open in Ashgabat on October 25. The forum, organised by the Turkmengaz State Concern, the Turkmennebit State Concern, the Turkmengeologiya State Corporation and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in partnership with Turkmen Forum Economic Society and with the support of GaffneyCline (UK), is to boost discussions of key issues that pertain to energy sector development in Turkmenistan and the world, SNG.Today reported.
The conference is expected to bring together a great number of participants. It will be attended by thousands of representatives of foreign companies, financial institutions, national and foreign media and research institutions.
The agenda covers a wide range of issues, including the efficient use of natural resources, strategic improvement of energy markets, investment activity, hydrocarbon processing and the environmental component.
The key topics are the future of global energy and the transition to green energy in Turkmenistan, the development of the Galkynysh gas field, the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, new projects for chemical utilization of acid gases and environmental aspects of natural resource extraction.
The speakers will include top managers of global companies and major economic institutions, well-known experts and specialists.
The organisers believe that the forum will be an important event in the energy industry of the region and contribute to energy cooperation between Turkmenistan and other countries.
