President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov is not attending the One Belt, One Road Forum, which is taking place in Beijing on October 17-18. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, the Kyrgyz leader is missing the event due to his busy schedule and his participation in the important events in October.
In particular, the President is attending in the CIS Summit, a meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government, an official visit of the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China to Kyrgyzstan and a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kyrgyz leader’s participation in the forum in China was not planned. Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev and Chairman of the State Customs Service Samat Isabekov are attending the event.
The forum brings together representatives of more than 140 countries at the level of heads of state, government and ministers to discuss a wide range of issues related to the environment, logistics, digital economy, foreign trade, cultural and humanitarian ties and interregional cooperation.
