President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Beijing on October 17-18 at the invitation of President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping. The Uzbek leader will take part in the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The Summit will focus on promoting trade and economic partnerships, enhancing transport and communication connectivity, implementing «green» projects and digitalizing various economic sectors. It is planned to discuss the outcomes of multilateral cooperation over the past ten years.
The programme of Mirziyoyev’s visit includes the keynote speech at the plenary session, in which he will express his point of view on current issues of international partnerships within the Belt and Road initiative. The President of Uzbekistan will hold official talks with Xi Jinping and Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning.
