The historical and cultural monuments of the Zarafshon-Kairakkum corridor may soon be inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. It was announced at a press conference at the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan that the nomination of these monuments will be considered at the upcoming session of the World Heritage Committee in Saudi Arabia in September this year. Once approved, they will be included in the major list of world cultural heritage.
The nomination of the Fergana-Syrdarya corridor is nearing completion. It will be proposed for inclusion in the World Heritage Tentative List in the near future. The Ministry of Culture is enhancing its efforts so that historical and cultural monuments will receive the recognition they deserve.
The Ministry is actively cooperating with international experts to promote the Khulbuk-Ancient Khuttal nomination. This work is being done at a high level and aimed at expanding cultural cooperation with other countries.
According to the Ministry of Culture, they are making every effort to conserve and promote the national heritage, and cooperation with UNESCO is an important step in this regard.
