Turkmenistan will increase the production of mineral and non-mineral building materials. This issue is closely related to one of the main directions of the economic doctrine of the state on the creation of import-substituting industries and the constant increase in their capacities. It was reported by the press office of the Ministry of Finance of the country.
The head of the economic risk analysis department of the Agency for Protection against Economic Risks under the Ministry of Finance of Turkmenistan Hangeldi Gurbangeldiyev drew attention to the fact that the creation of production of mineral and non-mineral building materials in special zones within the country is considered the most important part of the work. Currently, enterprises of the country produce cement, asbestos pipes, polymers, ceramics, building glass, aluminum, plastic windows, electrical appliances, lamps, furniture products, paints, gypsum, plaster and other products.
The expert made a special emphasis on the implementation of a number of large projects in Balkan province, which will effectively solve the whole range of important tasks in this area. As an example, Gurbangeldiyev marked the construction of a plant for the production of high-quality cement with a capacity of 100,000 tons, plants for the production of non-mineral building materials, asphalt concrete products and bituminous waterproofing membrane in Jebel.
The specialist noted that there are more than 200 solid minerals in Turkmenistan that are suitable as raw materials for the construction industry. In his opinion, in order to achieve modern production development of this sector, it is necessary to introduce the latest technologies, review managerial, organizational and intra-industry coordination issues, and significantly increase exports of products.
In addition, he stressed that one of the priority tasks of state policy is the creation of new regional enterprises for the production of technical glass, porcelain, crystal, cement, Portland cement, fixed reinforcement, kaolin, gypsum, paint and varnish products. Hangeldi Gurbangeldiyev added that the dynamic development of the mining industry and the building materials industry contributes to the constant improvement of the living conditions of the citizens of Turkmenistan.
