President of Uzbekistan on official visit to France

Shavkat Mirziyoyev is visiting Paris at the invitation of President of France Emmanuel Macron.

On November 21, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev left the Tashkent International Airport for an official visit to France, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reports. The Uzbek leader is visiting France at the invitation of President of France Emmanuel Macron.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold high-level talks at the Elysee Palace and meetings at the National Assembly of France and meet with representatives of major French companies.

The agenda of the upcoming meetings focuses on further cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, investment and political sectors.

The leader of Uzbekistan will visit the Louvre Museum. The exhibitions “Treasures of the oases of Uzbekistan. At the crossroads of caravan routes” and “The road to Samarkand. Miracles of Silk and Gold”, dedicated to the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, will run at the Arab World Institute during the visit of the Uzbek delegation.

This is the second visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to France. The previous one took place in the spring of 2018. Uzbekistan and France are bound by long-standing cooperation in the economic, energy, cultural and public spheres, as well as in ensuring international and regional security. The two countries are strengthening inter-parliamentary relations.
