On October 25, several dozens of families with many children in East Kazakhstan Region of Kazakhstan received the keys to new comfortable houses from the local authorities on the occasion of the Republic Day, the Kazinform News Agency reported.
Festive housewarming parties were a distinctive feature of the Republic Day celebrations in three districts of the region. The families in Glubokovsky, Tarbagataisky and Ulansky administrative units received new houses. The houses for large families were built under the One-Storey East regional project, and the commissioning of new homes was a long-awaited event for adults and little residents.
10 families in Glubovsky district, 6 families in Tarbagatai district and 18 families in Ulansky district celebrated housewarming parties in the framework of this social concept. Important social facilities opened their doors in the region during the Republic Day celebration. These include cultural, sports and recreation centres, among others; in total 10 facilities.
Over 500 events took place in East Kazakhstan Region on the holiday.
