Solemn meeting at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan marks Republic Day

The Minister of Foreign Affairs presented state awards and medals to diplomats and diplomatic service employees.

On October 22, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organised a solemn meeting on the eve of the Republic Day of Kazakhstan, at which Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi presented heads, employees and veterans of the diplomatic service and young diplomats with state awards, medals, certificates of honour and letters of appreciation and gratitude on behalf of the President for their active contribution to the foreign policy of the Republic, the press office of the Ministry reported to CentralAsia.news.

Addressing the participants, the Minister emphasised the important role of diplomats in building New Just Kazakhstan under the leadership of Kazakh leader Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.

“The national diplomatic service has turned 30 this year. The work done by the older generation built the “spirit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs” and lay the traditions of the foreign ministry and the foundations of the diplomatic service,” Tleuberdi said in his speech.

The Order Kurmet was awarded to Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the United Nations in New York Akan Rakhmetullin and the Medal Eren Enbegi Ushin was awarded to Chief of the State Protocol Service Iskander Aysariyev, Director of the Department of America Nurgali Arystanov and Director of the Department of the Near and Middle East and Africa Askar Shokybaev and a Certificate of Honour of Kazakhstan was awarded to Deputy Chairperson of the Investment Committee Larisa Zhumagaliyeva.
