Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation Davlatshoh Gulmakhmadzoda held a meeting with the students from his country, who study in Moscow, to mark of the State Language Day in Tajikistan, the official website of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Russia reported.
The diplomat emphasised the huge role of the Tajik language in reviving the statehood and developing science, education and culture.
The Ambassador told about the achievements of Tajikistan over 31 years of independence, including the protection of historical and cultural values, the national identity of young people and the comprehensive support of President Emomali Rahmon.
The Embassy recommended that students use ample opportunities to gain knowledge and hone their skills, noting that the diplomatic mission is always ready to assist young people in implementing their initiatives.
President Emomali Rahmon congratulated citizens of the Republic on the Day of the Tajik Language, calling on them to take care of the national language, and noted that this holiday is a symbol of respect and reverence for the national language.
