Rahmon orders to rebuild homes destroyed in border conflict by November 1

The President also allocated financial assistance to 300 affected families.

On September 24, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon ordered the Government to reconstruct homes in the border villages of Tajikistan, wrecked by the Kyrgyz-Tajik border conflict, by November 1 this year, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reports.

The President signed the decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan authorising to allocate financial assistance to 300 affected families in Isfara city and B. Gafurov district.

On the instructions of Rahmon, the State Commission under the Government of Tajikistan will provide building materials and food products to each of the families whose homes have been destroyed.

Financial assistance was allocated to support the residents of villages Chorkuh, Lakkon, Chilgazi, Kulkand, Zumrad, Surkh and Vorukh, Isfara city and villages Ovchikalacha and Khistevarz in B. Gafurov district.

As was reported, on September 22, 45 heavy trucks delivered food products, fuel and building materials to Sughd Region. These were 500 tonnes of cement, 220 cubic metres of boards, 5,000 slate pieces, 1,500 square metres of plywood and drywall, 5 tonnes of nails, 500 square metres of glass, 250 tonnes of coal, 60 tonnes of flour, 10 tonnes of oil, 15 tonnes of rice and 25 tonnes of sugar.
