On September 17, Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers Mahrijemal Mammedova reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the ongoing events in the sectors under her supervision at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which was held via videoconference, the Turkmenistan Today News Agency reported.
The Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that a number of events are to take place in October-November this year, including the International Festival and Conference “National Singing Art and Music in the Heritage of the Peoples of the World”, scheduled to take place in late November. The event is aimed at popularising the culture, national heritage, singing art and music of the Turkmen people and building contacts among performers from different countries of the world.
Commenting on the report, the Turkmen leader instructed to ensure a high level of organisation of the above events. Emphasising the important role of the upcoming events in studying and promoting the historical and cultural heritage of the Turkmen people and the achievements of the country in science and culture, Berdimuhamedov gave specific instructions to Mammedova.
