Kulubaev discusses emerging problems of Kyrgyz migrant workers in Russia

The Minister and the Ambassador also considered the prospects for promoting trade and economic partnerships between the countries.

On May 18, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Kyrgyzstan Nikolai Udovichenko to discuss topical problems facing Kyrgyz migrant workers in the cities and regions of Russia, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The parties also discussed key issues of Kyrgyzstan-Russia trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and interregional cooperation and the progress of the implementation of the agreements in these spheres.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the upcoming political events, including a regular meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the First Eurasian Economic Forum, which will be held in Bishkek on May 26-27.

Jeenbek Kulubaev noted the importance of promoting mutually beneficial cooperation in all the areas to strengthen relations and strategic partnerships between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

As was reported, the leaders of Kyrgyzstan and Russia Sadyr Japarov and Vladimir Putin discussed priority areas of bilateral cooperation during the meeting.
