Tokayev highlights crucial importance of coordinated work of governments of Kazakhstan and Russia

The leader of Kazakhstan confirmed readiness to stimulate further intergovernmental contacts.

On February 11, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a meeting with Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin during his working visit to Moscow. The interlocutors considered a range of issues regarding the implementation of the agreements reached during the recent top-level talks, the press office of Akorda reported to CentralAsia.news.

The President noted that the talks with RF President Vladimir Putin focused on a wide range of areas of further cooperation and international and regional issues. In this context, the leader of Kazakhstan highlighted the crucial importance of the coordinated work of the RF Cabinet of Ministers with the new Government of Kazakhstan.

Tokayev confirmed readiness to stimulate further intergovernmental contacts.

He noted that Kazakhstan and Russia are developing major projects of strategic importance, involving KAMAZ, SIBUR and several other leading giants of the Russian Federation. These projects are aimed at the sustainable growth of industrial cooperation, enhancement of technological potential and expansion of employment opportunities. Kazakhstan is determined to deepen cooperation within the EAEU, Tokayev said.

The Chairman of the RF Government assured the distinguished guest that it would take necessary steps and all possible measures to put the top-level agreements into practice.
