On November 9, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on the development of a mechanism on the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. It is planned to introduce a unified electronic register of patients with cardiovascular diseases and distribute medicines free of charge among those in need.
With the view to fulfiling these tasks, 350 million soums will be allocated to each district, 70 billion soums in total. It is planned to allocate 580 billion soums, which is 3 times more than last year, for the provision of primary health care units with medicines and medical supplies.
The regional branches of the Republican Cardiology Research Centre will provide 35 types of services instead of 15.
